Do I have a WHAT??!!

Last night as I was getting Thomas ready to take a bath, he comes out with this question that I was TOTALLY unprepared for! Now I kept telling myself "He's just turned 3 1/2 he's too young to know these things. or is he? "Is he? Ugh! I guess it was gonna come up sometime! Anyway, I'm undressing him, {or helping him anyway as he likes to be Mr. Independent lately}, He comes out of nowhere and says "Do you have a pee-pee?" I stammered and was like "what?"
he repeated " Do you have a pee-pee?" So I maturely and calmly said " no honey I don't". And before I could ask where he learned that, he says " Am I a boy?" I said "yes, yes you are".and he said "And you a girl" and I said "Right, yes I am." and he said "And daddy a Boy?" I said "yes, daddy's a boy too, just like you.' he says " And Daddy has a pee- pee just like me!" " I said "that's right"All the while I was trying to figure out how he had learned this on his own! I'm sure Playhouse Disney doesn't have a sex ed program that I'm aware of! When I told Tom about what he said, he didn't help- all he said was"that's my boy!" This ain't "married with children"here! oh boy and the obsession of getting him to stop playing with it is impossible.I'd throw in the towel but I'm too stubborn. I make him sleep with underwear on so he can't get that much access to it.ESPESCIALLY if he sleeps over someones house.anyway, What happened to my little boy! we're not supposed to be talking about pee-pee's yet! he's too innocent! All I keep thinking of is that movie Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger with the one kid that says " boys have a penis and girls have a vagina"- I can just see my son doing that in preschool! I know I need to tell him at this age and which I have already done-{whether he remembers is another story} is appropriate touching and what is and not and if he ever feels uncomfortable about something that he can always tell mommy or daddy. But the whole sex and gender thing for some reason just totally threw me- I was just like No! No! NO! he's too little ! I want my little boy baaaack! Am I overreacting?
Probably am-He's just growing up soo fast! Where does the time go??

Thomas' First Sleepover Guest

Shane and Stacey had to rush their 8 month old Daughter Mya to the hospital because she kept up with a fever of 103 that just wouldn't go down and she wouldn't eat or drink so we had a little house guest recently. His older daughter Ashley who is a year younger than Thomas stayed with us so they could focus on getting the baby the medical attention she needed without any interruptions .These two make quite a pair!
They must have watched Brother Bear 5 times before going to bed!Thought I'd show some pics of Thomas' first boy/girl sleepover. These two had a blast I don't think they wanted their time together to end! Too Cute! She was really well behaved-I remembered when we vacationed in march,we stayed at their house, and she kept waking up every couple hours and we thought we were in for a heck of a night with the monitors and diaper changings, but actually between playing with the dog and thomas' toys she wore herself out and watching brother Bear she crashed on Thomas' rug- They both did-we just picked her up and put her in the guest bed and she slept like a rock till 6 am the next morning aside from a couple moans and groans during the night , she was a pleasure to have over.

Punk Shampoo 'Do

Anyone ever do this? Thomas and I were goofing around with the shampoo last night while taking a bath and washing his hair and decided hey why not go for the punk look?he's gonna get a haircut this weekend so decided one last chance to play around with the long locks. So we made it stick wayyyy up and I couldnt believe how long it stayed up that way!!! it stayed up that way the whole time he was in the tub which was like an hour! which was when I washed it out! That's some strong stuff! The last time I did that with a different shampoo, it drooped right over like a wilting lilly! Here's how it came out- was too much!---

Attention Envy

It appears with all the excitement with getting our new puppy lately that we named Kota, {would have been DA Kota}, { but Thomas couldn't seem to get the DA part out and could just say "Kota"} Thomas thought he would lure in some attention of his own by enclosing himself in in Kota's cage and not wanting to come out! To me, he looks like some jailbird, or is giving me new ideas for a timeout place! LOL J/K I would never cage my lil monkey! He DOES love to sit in there every chance he gets though! I don't know what all the fascination is really! Guess he likes to use it as some kind of fort - Nut Job!
