First Day Of School

Well, today I became the mommy of a Kindergardener! Thomas is now getting the feel of his first day in Kindergarden as we speak. Started out well. Got up at 6 am , had the clothes out last night, got him and myself to bed early, got the supplies on the counter ready to go, names all on everything, lunch packed and ready to go , teeth brushed, boy bathed, just had to feed the baby, give Thomas breakfast, make sure he was dressed, and fed hair brushed, and we got there in time to get a parking spot . I had this all planned out. Then he did it. We're in the car. and he starts crying. Don't do this to me! I had been up since 3 thinking about how big he's gotten and that I wasn't gonna cry! 'What does he say? " I'm still a little Boy! " and starts crying! so he starts me going! I said " oh buddy! you gotta go and do this NOW! ? we give each other hugs , wipe the tears , and I say. you're gonna have a GREAT time. he says ."but I'm scared" so I start crying AGAIN. I said "theres nothing to be scared of- -Youre gonna make lots of cool things, and lots of great new friends, and learn lots of new things, and have snack time, and lunch time, and get to go go outside on the playground, and before you know it, itll be time to go home, and you wont even know WHERE the time went you'll be having so much fun and I wanna hear ALL about it! every last bit of it! ok?" and he said ok, MoM? I love you" i really really love you"
" and that made me cry even MORE it was so sweet and heartfelt the way he said it! He's such an angel. So the school had what was called a "Boo-Hoo" breakfast for all the new parents who were dropping off their first time kids at school or returning back to schoolers and were just "whoo- hooers"- was real nice-met some other weepy moms there - turns out to be a really nice school I chose for Thomas.Turns out they won a gold star award again and became an A school again over the summer by the district or state due to test scores which I'm happy about. Its a very family oriented school and they have alot of fun things coming up like socials and fairs and dances for kids as well as parents and are looking for volunteers - I think I might join. . The staff is SOO friendly Like SITCOM friendly its unreal! I think he's really gonna like it thereI know I will! Anyway, here's some pics of his first day.. Heres by the couch at home, and some from my cellphone in his classroom..

Tink 2

So I finally got a new van to replace the one I trashed. Its a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country.Seats 7, VERY nice! got power EVERYTHING! Power sliding doors, seats, leather bucket seats, cd player,storage, kicker sound system, removable console from front to back, homelink system, this thing rocks! No stow and go this time around, but I'm not really bummed, because I didn't really use it as much as I thought I would last time. Has three way air and climate control which is a MUST for down here! Otherwise you ROAST ! I just LOVE this van! I am not goig to go without any stoplights that is going to get me in any accidents! This van is TOO nice! Plus the fact that I have been sternly threatened that if I crash this one my license goes bye bye and he means it. So I gotta really watch it! This is my means of transportation and bringing Thomas to school and going back to work,etc.. so I cant screw up! wish me luck! so here's my new baby, Tink 2.. { I love Tinkerbell} My other was Tink 1}

6 Years Today

Today marked our 6 year anniversary. 6 years and haven't killed each other yet. Came close, but still survived! Boy we get on each other's nerves at times., we sleep in the guest room when spurts arise, go for rides to cool down,theres alot of silent treatments, sometimes for a few days, but we're still together, mostly because deep down, we love each other, we both know it , and HAVE known it for a long time- since we were kids. we just get a bit sick of each other here and there because we HAVE known each other for so long- kinda know each other like brother and sister as sick as that is !the ONE glue that holds us together and I think always will, is our kids- we love them to death, and never want to be apart from them. ever. Theyre my life.I'd be lost without them.Anyway, we celebrated byattempting to go out on the boat today- me Tom and Thomas, but the boat wouldn't run.the darn thing wouldn't kick over for anything. thought it was the starter, replaced it but it was fine, turns out to be the flywheel which you have to take outthe whole engine to replace it- eww.big bucks. and MIL took off to babysit Brendan, so we made a surfand turf dinner{or DH made it for us for anniversary dinner- steak and shrimp scampi- yummy. we paid her even though we never made itout on the water - we hung out in the pool in the backyard instead as a family.was a nice day- hot and humid- like a sauna, but all in all, a nice day. 6 years. another yeargone. as for presents, its a tight year- he doesnt like cards, so we decided not to exchange this year- we considered the van my present. what van? ooh! I'll have to post that in another post- I got a new vanfinally- but anyways, Happy Anniversary to us!!
