First Lost Tooth

Today Thomas lost his FIRST tooth! he was playing around witha scuba dive set-the kind with the flippers and mouthpiece and goggles, and as he was adjusting the mouthpiece, his VERY LOOSE front left tooth {that was hanging by a thread and ready to come out anyday anyway) finally gave way and eased its way out! Thomas being the way that he is didn't exactly know what to make of it, kinda freaked! LOL he was like "AAAAGGGHH! " I'm bleeding! And thought a tooth was never going to replace that one so was a bit upset... but once he learned that a big boy tooth was going to replace that one and the tooth fairy was waiting tonight with some ca-ching for that tooth, he began to relax..LOL So that was our exciting afternooon and even more exciting- went grocery shopping! whoopee! {Yes that IS sarcasm in my voice} LOL Losing teeth.. My lil' boy's growing up...where does the time go??

Yo' Adrienne

Well, it was bound to happen sometime I guess. I was doing SOO well! I had just passed my second year seizure free. And then it happened. Not once , but TWICE!!We had gone to Dad's for Christmas- well, we'll just say up North, because we made a couple stops along the way.-Stopped at Shane's for a few days, in North Carolina, Eddie & Steph's for a day While staying at the Marriot for a couple days and visiting Doug & Anthony On Long Island Before finally making our way up to dad's in the Catskills for Christmas all the while suffering a Terrible sinus infection taking whatever medicine was offered to me as well as what looked like would work over the counter as long as I could somewhat kick what was already kicking my ass! {you know you've been there!} So anyway We were all sick , but had a wonderful time-Brendan finally getting better, Tom mysteriously missing getting this bug and me & Thomas getting the worst of it- Thomas healing and me getting my ass kicked. On the way home December 29 in the Car, I suffered 3 seizures, then , we get home and on New Years Day, I suffered the Grand daddy of them all in the shower , wiping out and busting my nose in 3 places - I've never seriously injured myself THAT badly before in all the years that I've had my seizure condition- of 24 years! So I had to go t my trusty and swindling plastic surgeon{ whom I swear was all too happy to see me! } and got my nose fixed after dropping 5 grand on CATSCANS at the hospital ER plus bloodwork and stuff { Thank GOD for insurance!!!} 4 days after my seizure I got my nose put back in place - it was nice he did it on such short notice- I guess it was something where before it sets yada yada.. so I got put on the la la juice again and while he was at it he fixed my deviated septum that blocked my nose 90 percent, to stop my snoring problem- Tom's happy about that! I don't snore like a bear anymore! But look like Rocky Balboa!! He {The Doctor} gave me this copper ointment and put me in this light therapy and homeopathic skin pills{which I never believed in} to take twice a day that reduces swelling and bruising - and you know it really works? my bruising is going away REALLY fast and its barely been a week! So I'll be damned! So Tom's new nickname for me is "Mercedes" I think because All the money he wanted to buy his Mercedes - I think went into me !sure if that's not a guilt trip I don't know what is!! I gotta watch though because My nose wont completely heal for 4 months so if it gets bumped it's back to square one and we don't wanna go there again! never a dull moment I tell you!...I'm just glad its over. I can't drive for 6 months and that's really an inconvenience, but we're taking everything one day at a time and going from there. Tom has been a Godsend. He has been Mr. Mom. taking care of me, the kids, we've enlisted help from family to help out , so in tiough times , it's good to have back up when you can and stregnth in numbers. Until then, one Day at a time until normalcy.
