I must write about our new addition. Her name is Brandy. She is a 9 week old part Labrador, part German Shepherd puppy. At first we weren't sure if we wanted another puppy after Kota. They chew, they have accidents,The kids become afraid, the list just goes on and on and on. So we we started our journey yesterday to Fort Myers. I picked Tom up from work, and we made our two hour journey with the kids through hellacious torrential rainstorms, watched jackknifed tractor trailers on the side of the road, stopped for numerous pee stops, hoping that this lil girl would soon be what we hoped for when we got there . We felt like we were almost obligated to buy here just from the journey! But when we finally got there, and saw her, we were greeted by this sweet little brown and black face with these sweet little brown eyes and waggly brown tail and she was just so happy and full of gentleness and love that we just HAD to get her! So we got some last minute do's and don'ts from her owner, when her shots were and were due, paid her and started the journey home which went VERY well! She sat in my lap all the way home, By the time we reached Sarasota, we stopped by Ma's to see how she'd do with KiKi { the ultimate test} and they got along like good friends so then it was time to go home. She spent the night in our room so as not to go peeing in the house just in case and she wound up sleeping on our bed and getting up 3 times to go outside which went well as she pooped n peed 3 times. I decided to pick it up in the morning as I couldnt see a darn thing! Now SHES asleep as I wish I was! the kids were a bit on edge and forgot she came home with us, but are warming up to the idea of having a new puppy in the house . She DID have an accident in Thomas' room this morning when she went in to say hello, and was immediately put outside which we were told would happen - she has to adjust. She seems to have take n to the house great and I look forward to many fun times with the kids playing our new bundle of fur!
